At a young age, I loved to listen to the folk singers who had something to say - Bob Dylan, Tom Paxton, and Phil Ochs, in particular. Inspired by my heroes, I bought a Gibson guitar and started writing my own "message" songs. At some point, I went west and walked the rails.

 

Some years later, an old friend heard my music and asked me to write jingles for his recording studio. I've been writing jingles ever since...and manage to fit in some of those "message" songs to keep the fires burning.
